A new Express Diesel self-serve pump has opened in Albury at Lavington, just off the Hume Highway on the north side of the city.
The new tank, which shares The Wash Inn site, adds to Riordan Fuels’ network of 34 locations across Victoria and southern New South Wales. The family owned company provides diesel fuel and AdBlue via service stations and self-serve tanks plus bulk fuel delivery.
Managing director Robert Riordan said the expansion of the network is important, particularly for rural and regional communities.
“We provide people with more service options close to where they live, making them straightforward and easy to use,” he said.
“Most of our tanks, like our new one in Albury, are based in regional areas and offer some of the most competitive pricing available.”
The Albury site is state-of-the-art and open for individuals and businesses alike.
“Some people think these self-serve sites are only for trucks, but anyone with a diesel vehicle can use it,” he explained.
Payment options are via credit card or with a Riordan Fuels card account.
Local freight and excavations company Lieschke Transport and Excavations Pty Ltd, based in Albury, uses the Express Diesel network for its fleet of vehicles.
“We have been using the Express Diesel network for its great TGP diesel rates and truck access,” said owner Corey Lieschke.
“All their tanks are in handy locations especially in the country areas.
“Each of our drivers have a Riordan Fuels card that’s linked to our account, so the tracking and reporting is so much easier, and it helps make sure we get the best price.”
Mr Riordan said the company uses an innovative pricing approach.
“The price at our bowsers is set using a standard calculation, based on that day’s wholesale cost. We don’t play around with it based on the time of year or whether it’s a long weekend or not.
“Whatever the price is that day, we then apply a standard percentage based on the tank’s location and that’s it. Simple and transparent.”
The new Express Diesel self-serve tank is at 10 Annette Crescent, Lavington, behind The Wash Inn.
