Whilst all motorists will welcome the reduction in fuel excise as a bit of short term price relief, until the world starts to see a more consistent & increased supply of crude production, prices are likely to remain very volatile depending on international & domestic events at the time.
A little reported issue has reemerged in the international stage again, “Pirates” have again found the increased value in fuel worth the risk and are back hijacking very valuable fuel tankers.
It is critical to recover the increase in freight caused by increased fuel prices as all information available is currently pointing to medium term higher prices due to the unpredictability of supply of crude & increases in demand.
